Life is too fucking hard

Goddamnit. A guy from Blockbuster just called me, I have an interview tomorrow. And I've been holding out on getting a job because just about everything would require me to work holidays and weekends, and my boyfriend works during the week, so we aren't going to be able to do anything on the weekends, and this will be our first thanksgiving and christmas TOGETHER and I may have to work then too, maybe. damnit. If I take the job at Blockbuster which I really need to do because I have no money at all right now. I guess this is what I get for having a steady boyfriend and only being 19, huh?

I'll go and interview. After that I'll decide if I'm going to take the job, and if I do, I can still quit if its fucking everything up.

Does anybody else with significant others have problems like this? I need a hug. Or some cash, anybody wanna make a donation? Ok, I'll stop now.

well you technically don't work the entire day, so if you work weekends, you can see each other after work....even if it;s for a bit.
my boyf manages his family's biz...which means workdays from 4:30 am (yes, am) to 6 pm....monday to friday and often on either saturdays and sundays.....so it's not that bad if you work at blockbuster some weekends....

Yeah, its true. The only thing I'm upset about is that just about every weekend, we tend to go somewhere, on Saturday, usually. Like New York, or Vermont, or Philly, or the Cape, places like that. I'm gonna miss it.

well think of it this way. you might have this uncomfy schedule for a while, but not forever....plus, work your way around it....get together at different times and maybe you'll find stuff to do that you never thought off just cos of a new time schedule

Hmm, I've been half-heartedly trying to find a job for a while because I was really sick for a while and now I'm having trouble getting back to a normal schedule. I've been hoping that I can get something that allows me to spend enough time with my boyfriend on weekends and holidays. It would really suck if it didn't. I didn't have anything valuable to say. I just thought I would wander into your thread.

Yeah. I'd really love a schedule like that once I graduate college and find work... I mean. I have that schedule now, because I don't have a real job. *Sigh*. I just can't hold down two things at once... I'd be so tempted to drop out. And.
