On a more serious note, I enjoyed those, specially the third. Try shadding with other colours, maybe even opposite ones.

well, right now we're trying to get a handle in color value rather than color multitude. make sense? pete wants us to get a better handle on shading and blending rather than realism or color palette. am i explaining this ok? i dunno.

Sure, If I understand correctly everythings should be the same colour, but only with saturation/intensity changes. You could fix the "natural" bone colour as your "50%" (so it wouldn't look white as your previous sketches), darkening it in the shadows and softening it in much lighter zones. The changing from 50% to other values and colours. Anyway, with "inverted lightening" maybe bone joints would look nice in a strange way, allied to let's say, orange or olive.

right on. well, we had lights on the skeleton so the whitish coloured areas are actually the brightest parts on the bones. what i drew, other than the weird colors, is actually pretty damn accurate to what the bones looked like.

not since i came home. we're doing nudes on thursday. i'll post those adventures when i get home.

i always enjoy working in pastels during art class
