They aren't even the NFL team of the decade, much less the overall team.

If I hear someone call them a dynasty one more time, I will shoot people.

If they win on Sunday AND win another Super Bowl anytime between 2005 and 2007 they are a) a Dynasty and b) the team of the NFL decade.

That's a lot of "if's" by the way.

They've missed the playoff 2 out of the past 4 years, including a terrible 5-11 record in 2000. If they happen to win this year then they're the frontrunners for team of the decade. As far as dynasty goes...not making the playoffs in consecutive years so far this decade doesn't bode well for any dynasty claims.

The Cowboys are without a doubt the team of the 90s despite sparing it up and either missing the playoffs or not winning a playoff game in 1990, 1991, 1997, 1998, and 1999.

Team of the decade and dyansties are about winning championships and that is all.

They are the team of the decade, but that's exactly why they're not a dynasty. They had a 4 year period, with pretty much the same players, that they were really good and won 3 super bowls in. To me, 4 great years along with alot of mediocraty does not make a dynasty. Being able to be consistantly great over a decade with a changing cast of players (even if the stars remain, the supporting cast changes) is what dynasties are all about.

I think the Islander's 4 cups in a row counts as a dynasty.

Also the Yankees should be late 90's, not 1996-, as they haven't won in 3 years.
