I'm so happy for you. No young person should move to Chicago and have to live in Rogers Park. It's a fine place to live, but not if you're trying to have fun.

i don't have anything against Rogers Park, its just i'm always afraid to venture into that neighborhood, because of how bad crime is around there(especially once you get pass the Lunt/Sheridan area). i'd rather go into that neighborhood if i'm with a friend, rather than just myself(probably why i rarely ever get off the Red Line at say, like Morse or Howard, and venture around there, although there are some cool things to do off the Jarvis stop). seriously though, i've lived in the Andersonville neighborhood my whole life, even way way back when it was really Swedish and un-trendy to live up there(and before the gay community moved up here + settled in droves).

Haha, I remember living in California. It was pretty great. It got a little warmer & a little cooler than that, where I was (Berkeley), but that was about right. Sigh.
