Unhappy Bleh

I'm so lonely right now. It's cold, I've got Statistics homework to do, and I can't seem to stay sitting down to do it. I hate being alone.

I don't smoke. Plus, if by chance I did, I'd NEVER get my Statistics done.

Are you from Texas too? It's really not that cold, we had a sandstorm today, but that's every few days. It's just kinda cold right now, and it's especially cold in my apt, even though I've turned the heat on, I can't seem to get warm.

Lubbock is far away from everything. I wish Lubbock and Abilene could trade places.

What/where is Marfa, and what are the Marfa Lights?

Never ever wish to trade anything with Abilene. It's like Waco .. but in West Texas.

Oh, guys ... I was serious about SXSW. You all game?

But if Abilene and Lubbock traded places, I'd only be 2.5 hrs from Arlington!

The golden globes are only making me wish I was really tall, like all of the women who are presenting.

"The Marfa Lights, mysterious and unexplained lights that have been reported in the area for over one hundred years, have been the subject of many theories. The first recorded sighting of the lights was by rancher Robert Ellison in 1883. Variously described as campfires, phosphorescent minerals, swamp gas, static electricity, St. Elmo's Fire, and "ghost lights," the lights reportedly change colors, move around, and change in intensity. Scholars have reported over seventy-five local folk tales dealing with the unknown phenomenon. - 1988"
- Text of the "official" State of Texas road marker

It's a seven hour trip from Lubbock to Marfa.

I've driven from here to El Paso a couple of times, that was a 10hr drive.

I've never heard of the Marfa lights... pretty cool.

You can pick any two bands you want?
Well Modest Mouse is playing, I don't know if you're into them.

I went to the Hilton today to try and volunteer for SXSW and I guess I got there too late because most slots were taken.

I changed my hotel reservations to there, from the Marriott. :/

And, I love Modest Mouse, but I've interviewed them before. I'm thinking Pedro the Lion and Ani Difranco.
