Wouldnt the fart escape from the jar through the creases? Or the amount of time it took you to screw on the lid?

According to chemfinder.com, methane has a

melting point -182.47 C
boiling point -161.45 C

Therefore at temperatures of less than -183 C (possibly less since farts aren't entirely methane and impure compounds have lower boiling/melting points), farts do indeed freeze!
