Should I buy an N64 just so I can play Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask?

Nintendo 64s are all over eBay for like $12. The games can probably be had for about $10 each. Is it worth it? Oh yeah, I have no other gaming system.

N64 had its share of great titles and software. That being said, its still not worth the 12$.

You can get both for the Gamecube, and that's only $99 bucks.

not if you have a gamecube. both titles are on a bonus disk that nintendo gives out with just about everything they sell. it is also not difficult to coerce a retail monkey to give/sell you one of those badboys independent of those offers.

I have been enlightened. Can you play DVDs on a Gamecube? Or is that just PS2/Xbox?

no you cannot. you can on ps2. you need to buy a remote to make xbox play them.

They're all over eBay, and the retail monkeys are usually pretty cool about it where I go.

As for DVD playing ability, Panasonic is releasing a new version of the GC this year that plays all GC games and also DVDs.

but yeah gamecube is only 99 and you could get one of those discs with them on it. actually it think they may have even cleaned up the graphics a little bit. also you could play wind waker, whether you like the graphics or not i thought it was fun.
