Too close to home. The psychiatrist I work with (i'm just a research assistant) had to admit someone to a mental hospital today, it involved the police and everything.

They explore abandonded buildings, subway stations, hospitals, churches, basically anything they can sneak into. It's pretty cool shit but I don't think I could work up the courage to do it.
There's something about wandering around an abandonded children's asylum at 2 in the morning (like those pics above) and finding old kid's books and HELP ME scratched into the wall that freak me the fuck out.
A lot of the places they go to are decrepit and falling apart, or have homeless people living in them too.
