Default How can I play .asf files?

I tried Windows Media Player and Realplayer, but neither of them worked. I also tried DivX, but that didn't work either. Does anyone know how I can make them play?

Windows Media Player will do it if you have the right codecs

Hmmm, I'm really dumb about this kind of stuff, what codecs do I need, and how do I get them, and then, how do I use them?

Well, when Windows Media Player doesn't have the right codec, it automaticaly goes search for it and install without you having to do anything...

In your case, you either have a corrupt ASF file, or your Windows Media Player is too old.

I would think that if Windows Media Player doesn't have them already, it would automatically download them.

Hmm, well, I tried a few other asf files, and it did the same thing. Windows Media Player doesn't try to search for anything. And it's giving me some error like "File can't be found", even though I double clicked it right from where I saved it. So, either my comp is really weird, or all of the asf files are corrupt.

Maybe your version of Windows Media Player is too old?

I have never once had Media Player successfully get itself a codec, every single time I've had to install them myself.

If I was looking at porn, I would simply find some other video of a different file type. That is not the case.
