My professor replied to my email in all caps.

I don't know what to think about this. It took me completely by surprise. Actually it was a double surprise, since I didn't expect him to even reply. But seriously, all caps? What the hell?

The first time I e-mailed a professor, I don't believe his response *******d either upper case letters or punctuation. The irony was that it was for a literature class.

i think it meant he wanted to shout at you. but since it was a text message, he used the internationally recognised substitute in writing. the CAPS. you either must have asked him a really stupid question, or he is a choleric who doesn't want to get emails from his student. either way, he hates you now and you'll never get your degree

That's what I thought at first, but he explicitly invited us to email him about whatever we want. He said it gives him an excuse to stop working and go online. That didn't stop him from completley ignoring the first email I sent him a couple of weeks ago, though. Besides, I asked him about the technicalities of writing footnotes and bibliography, things he stressed in class were very important. And he ended the email with "NO PROBLEM" as reply to my thanks.
