I'm moving back up to Dallas at the end of spring semester... and the cheapest 1 bedroom/1 bath that I can find (where I would actually want to live...) is over $400... plus utilities, cable, etc. sucks. I need to find a roomate.

I share a large one bedroom apartment with my boyfriend. We pay $950 plus probably $50-$100 per month in utilities.

We each pay about $500 per month, all in all.

Our 2 bdrm aptmt is $900/month. It's in a really nice area of La Mesa, San diego, so I feel like we're getting a good deal. We can walk to Henry's (our local health-food grocer), the post office, the bank, and it's a beautiful neighborhood that's not too trafficky and is nice for walking. He was paying $800/month for a 1 bdrm in a shitty area of san diego before... san diego is just out of control expensive.

I didn't say it was a utility. I said "all utilities and parking *******d". Parking is a huge deal in the DC area. Most places charge an additional $400-$700 a month for parking.

the place I'm looking at...

On the Green Apts.

is about $660-700. Then my roomie wants a pet. >_< 200 more.. and then phone, cable, ugh..

Luckily It'll be split down the middle so It'll probably be $350 a month.
Then there's teh 3rd roommate option, get a 2 bedroom, around $825, so it'd be like $275 a month. wait, I like that idea! :-D

no, but my aunt just bought a one-bedroom loft in a mid-level area in Cambridge for $500,000. a ONE -BEDROOM FUCKING LOFT. It sounds fantastic -- with one of those spiral staircases and two bathrooms and very open and airy -- perfect for an artist -- but still. $500 fucking K.
