I got robbed last winter, and they only took (all) my silver jewellery and all the cash they could find in my room. They didn't touch the computer, dvd player, tv, anything....they were just stupid, or they were looking for something else...i assume drugs, if it was that "buddy" next door who I sometimes smoke weed with.

the thing is, not very many people know where i live. since my apt is too small to usually have people over at, i just don't have people over, i go to their places.

there are maybe 4 people who know where i live and have been here often enough to remember the house number, etc. 3 of them live in the suburbs.

80% of the cds that were taken were taken from the tops of individual piles of cds. if they were looking to make it personal, wouldn't they have stolen my multitudes of my sp collection? the only things dented in that were useless things like catherine and the cd with jackie blue on it.

i'm gonna try the cops again tomorrow, to at least file a report. i called around at 8 used cd stores in the area, but no dice my parents are looking into the insurance plan, to see if i'm covered for any of this, being a student again.

i just don't think this could be a prank cos most of my friends wouldn't know my apartment. my roommate wouldn't let a joke go as far as me calling the cops.

Yeah, when they finally show up. I once called them while the guy was breaking in and they still took 2-3 hours to stroll up to the door.

Sorry this happened Shaunna, but something might turn up yet. If you have the local CD stores watching out and you check eBay now and again you're doing everything you can. Was there anything unusual in there that would catch someone's attention if someone tried to sell it?

yeah i know!

i started a list of stuff that i know for sure is gone. the thing is, the dvds are still there and you get way more money for dvds than for cds at used stores. the only two cds that were really "worth" anything were my limited edition kid a and my rocket single, but those are still here.


and jan, aron had nothing stolen. we're thinking it happened while i was at school across town and he was asleep. the guy sleeps through ANYTHING. we figure there were two people and one of them went into aron's room, saw him there, told the other guy, they swiped the cds from the tops of the racks in my room and took off :-/
