My roommate pulled the whole "I need you to get offline so I can make a phone call. It'll only be five minutes" scam again. I disconnect, fifteen minutes later...the phone rings! I assumed she was waiting for a call, but another fifteen minutes later, I remembered she pulled this same shit on me the other night, and so I tried dail-up again, and--what a fuckin' coincidence--the phone line's free!


The other night it was forty-five minutes waiting. I sat at the computer, playing solitaire, waiting for her to come out and tell me she was no longer on the phone, as she'd promised to do, then she very calmly walks out of her room and says goodbye, she's off to work. And it takes her a goddamned half hour just to get ready to go to ghetto Shnuck's, so if she was getting ready for work, I most likely was waiting that full forty-five minutes on her for nothing.

I gotta get some anger management if I'm going to put up with this shit for another eight months.

And she's bringing her fucking niece over. Six-year-old spoiled brat. Fucking makes demands and orders people around. It's enough to make me want to smack the brat, and I'm normally very against violence towards children.

All this means that the brat's mom is going to be over, around ten, ten thirty, and she'll insult everyone all night and probably stay until after midnight, like she did last time.

I'll be able to avoid all three of them, but it'll mean I'll have to skip Movie Night...it's this thing we do with the ghetto kids. They all come over to this Christian couple's house and watch a movie, then play games for an hour, have a snack, and then we take them home. If I don't go to Movie Night, I won't have to see either the asshole or the brat, but I'll feel bad for skipping out this week and I'll miss seeing the kids.

But if I have to spend three and half hours with both of them, I'm going to go postal and kill someone.
