Arrow i went to a party tonight and saw two guys dancing...

...one of the guys is in my class at law school (and an acquaintance of mine...nice guy) and the other guy was his boyfriend

they're both very good looking gentlemen and both good guys

but it made me feel very weirded out...does this make me a bad person?

Your feelings are perfectly justified. I myself can't believe that they're starting to slither their way into law practice.

So, wait. Let me get this straight. He's actually enrolled in the class? He's not just sitting in and pretending that he's a student? Are you sure of this?

That's fucking sick.

It just stopped grossing me out after adolescence. There were quite a few gays in my high school, which had a suprisingly tolerant student body. And one of my best and closest friends since the ninth grade is gay. And any where else I've been they've blended in just like any minority would. LA much? I don't know, it's not like this in every other city? The only big metrpolii I've been to are San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, Washington and New York. All super gay cities now that I think of it. Sweet!

To answer your thread question, no you are not a bad person for being shocked. Especially if they were dancing badly.

Ah, who am I kidding? Gays don't dance badly.

I think if you're simply 'weirded' out by it (but can eventually get used to it), it's just an initial reaction to something that you're not used to - you're not gay, so it's not something you may be overly familiar with. Getting used to it shouldn't take long, it's perfectly fine, but it's not you. It's essentially culture shock.

However, if you're weirded out, then feeling violent or angry, then yes, there's something wrong.

Music Lawyer as in... working for the RIAA? Or what? Explain plz. Some of us aren't legally inclined.

I'd basically be mediating the contract between bands and record companies.

Above is how I would probably justify it. I'm never grossed out by gays, but I still get a kick out of living in a gay neighborhood, and that seems just about as bad as being weirded out by two guys grinding. I just heard that my "neighborhood" is 35% gay, and I'm not sure how they defined neighborhood, but if they defined it like I think they did, that means the area around my apartment is about 75% gay. That's pretty fucking gay. EVERYTIME I go outside I see gays. Usually paired up holding hands, running together, in the grocery together, etc, and I am never ever bothered by it, but I notice them and put them in a separate category from myself. I often think gay couples are "cute" but I rarely think hetero relationships are "cute," especially random ones that I see on the street. I feel like thinking they're cute marginalizes them somehow. They are different from me in ways, but I'd like to stop classifying people and just get on with life.

You'll survive the gays, JM!
