I went to the Menil in Houston and saw some beautiful work. I really liked the work of Johns, I don't particularly know why, I just enjoyed it.

I like a lot of his stuff I've seen...but some if it I just do not enjoy.
Edit: I figured I would say something I don't really like....like the numbers painting. |

He's pretty cool. I don't think I've looked at his stuff enough to have a reason why I think he's a good artist, except for the fact that he used a lot of encaustic and collage instead of just paint. I'll beef up the thread with some more pictures.
