Apparently it's do or die for Hussein in terms of letting in UN weapons inspectors tomorrow, at least that's what NBC said earlier tonight.

I'm not worried about an all-out war...quite frankly, I'm more than sure Iraq knows that the US has the ability to wipe them off the face of the planet two times over. It's just...shit like this could potentially be disastrous (Vietnam anyone?), and it opens the floodgates for more terrorism.

There was this Time magazine article about the Left Behind series of books in which an analyist predicted that the next time the Arab terrorists attack, it will be so bad that the US will cease to be a world power...I dunno...it just seems like all of what's happening in the world is coming together in a bad way....considering what we can do to one another with the technology we've got...

I don't trust republicans with bombs...nor do I trust Sadam. I'm pretty sure he has some weapons stashed away that the media doesn't know about. He's not stupid. You don't play chicken with the USA without something to cover your ass... I honestly hope you're right...but I know way too many people in the military, etc...and I don't want to trust anyone with his life.

I am very much pro-war with Iraq. I wonder what Blue Star's source is on the won't happen to January thing, but I believe that's highly probable. Politically it seems like a good move to stall it out and build the case for war with Iraq.

Even though I am pro-war I don't think W has done a good enough job articulating the reasons because you people still don't get it. It's not just about nukes. It's about Saddam and the fact that he must be eliminated and replaced. True, the next regime won't be anything even bordering on democracy but Saddam is evil and his people don't even want him there. They are just helpless and fearful.

The war with Iraq is just part of the war on terror. It's a necessary ingredient to the win the war on terror.

For the idiot who said he doesn't trust Republicans with bombs I would point out that Vietnam was part LBJ and part Nixon and they both f'd things up with bombs.

Anyway, this was truly a joyous day for me. I just felt the need to make at least one post before I go to sleep.

At least Saddam isn't a hypocrite. He's always been an asshole - he's nothing if not consistent. Funny how it was ok to back him during the war with Iran, then push him out of Kuwait, but allow his own people to be massacred when they tried to stage a popular revolt at the end of the Gulf War. Yeah those poor Iraqis- this guy must clearly be stopped! How do we save these poor souls? Oh yeah, by bombing them. All in the best interests of the Iraqi people of course. The 'War on Terror' is a fucking joke. Are we taking down Ankara next? I doubt it.
