not only can you have transparent, but with different opacities...so it's the end of jagged edge transparent images.

...and 50% transparent images...with a reasonable file size.

too bad internet explorer dosent support it right now.

It's Apple. But I know that the Quicktime plugin handles them, if nothing else. They're goddamn huge, though.

If I'm ever visiting a website & I look at the status bar & it says it's downloading a .png file I always hit stop & leave the website. That's probably pretty bad but ... damnit. Png files aren't all that hot.
