I call it by it's brand name, my boyfriend, and a lot of english folk especially from around lancashire call it pop and most people here or in edinburgh call anything 'ginger' because most of them constantly drink irn-bru and have been brainwashed.

i've only ever heard english people say 'pop' in a patronising manner e.g. parents to their 4 year old kid. even then, it's rare.

In my experience it's usually pop in Canada and soda in the States, though that's clearly an overgeneralization. I don't care what you call it - it's obvious what you mean.
