Angry FUCK. Republicans have the Senate

This is when I assuage myself by saying that all politicians are really the same, right??

it's when you assuage yourself by saying that not only does congress not always run exactly on party lines but it also has to go by a definite majority and not just a pure majority or whatever.

also i read some random headline on nytimes.com that democrats gained many governorships and that's pretty fucking important well almost. except certain democratic southern governors still don't seem to be trying too hard to raise taxes despite horrible budget crises

actually warner tried to raise taxes in northern va but the voters were all 'no'. well he just wanted a small raise in sales tax for road improvements. n.m

The fine part about this is that your healthcare system will get a lot better when the republicans rule.
And abortion, that devious thing, will hopefully dissapear from the face of the earth!

...
You are all a bunch of dolts, nothing compared to me.

YEAS YOU FOOLS, ME AND SALENA WILL RULE THIS BOARD TOGETHER (and our relationship will perhaps, in time, change into something more sensual and erotic).

Its not going to disappear, it will still continue, except now it would have the possibility of it being done in back alleys and other unsafe places. How stupid can you be to think that an issue will just go away as if it never was there. Retard.

AIM person: republicans now control the house and the senate
AIM person: that rules

Spazmataz0: sweet, now we really all go poor and build those bomb shelters we've been meaning to build

AIM person: now those tax cuts will become permanant, gun laws will stay the same, and we will elminate iraq and north korea

Spazmataz0: doesn't sound that great to me

no, it's O'Connor, Stevens, and Rehnquist who may retire. Losing O'Connor will be kinda bad, since she's pro-women's rights, and losing stevesns will be VERY bad.

It's sad that most people on this board belongs on the extreme leftwing

"blah blah blah, help the poor" " Christianity sucks" (oh yeah, that's just marxistic bullshit)
"remove guns from society"

Bah, and look at all the good stuff that mr president George W Bush (i would apriciate it if you could refer to him in this manner from now on, show a little respect) has done in the palestina/israel conflict

Dang it, a good thing though that Mr president Geogre W Bush was able to put a bunch of faghating conservatives in the SC when he got the job as president (okey, they can live in this country and even have their own schools, shops etc, as long as their separated from the rest of us.)

That's too bad man ,i actually agree on that one. North korea is a fine example of a nation taking care of its peons. Protecting them from vile things as GNP-growth, food and medication.

Default thoughts on the '02 elections(SOMEWHAT LONG)

personally, i think, after staying up a little bit late + watching all the final election results last night on CNN(+ on the local channels), i think this year's election should be a wake-up call to Democrats to advertise a clearer, less conflicting, and less confusing image, and to have a more straighter and positive image for all their candidates throughout the country in '04(b/c IMO, i sort of don't think they chose a clear enough national platform to advertise their candidates on, compared to Republicans, and i'm not dissing Dems, btw, just being honest...). and also, this point, very especially, goes out for whoever the Democrats choose as their '04 presidential candidate.

and was it just me, or were there any other United States netphorians(besides me) who actually went out of his/her way to register and vote?? i'm a bit curious to know. and finally, here are 2 indie 3rd-party candidates who i voted for, that i liked more than the Dem incumbants(and a very brief explanation below next to 'em on why i voted for him/her, and against the Dem incumbant). (and side note before i continue: both of the Dem incumbants i voted against(and dislike) ending up winning, and i DO live in a Democratic-safe area, as i live in Chicago, so nothing you should be worried about)

Jason Farbman, Green(http://www.14thdistrict.org): voted against Harry Osterman(my local 14th District Illinois State Representative), b/c pretty much he's nothing but a CAREER POLITICIAN who's only living off the name of his mother, who was our former city alderman who died 7-15 yrs. ago, or something. btw, if you do stop by his site, i highly recommend reading the Chapter 1 and 2 sections on the right side of his website. (and btw, he ended up w/10% of the vote, against Osterman's 80%(and btw, Fannie Kazi-Taylor was the liberal Republican candidate, but she doesn't have a website))

Stephanie Sailor, Libertarian(http://www.sailorvsthemachine.com): voted for her b/c i was upset at Schocowsky(sp?), my local Congresswoman, for endorsing Rahm Emmanuel in a nearby Congressional district(very, very long story on why i dislike Rahm Emmanuel which i'd rather not waste excess time explaining.....), and b/c she's pro-legalization of weed. and one more thing, my guess is that she got much fewer votes than Farbman, since she didn't have the resources of a local party organization behind her(unlike Farbman, who did), and b/c i'm guessing she didn't have a big war chest(which if you didn't know, means how much funds you have for your campaign, basically). (ended up w/3% of the vote)

(and special thanks goes out to www.cltv.com for having the latter 2 election results up)
