It's front-page news here. I don't know why people are raising hell about the officer; nobody would be criticizing him if he were chasing someone with, say, an outstanding warrant on rape charges instead of a 15-year-old and his six cohorts taking a joyride. The car was reported stolen, and they were flying past him; it's his job to do what he did. It's a damn shame, and I don't want to sound insensitive, but it's the kids' own fault for being stupid.

Some 15 year old kid got run over by a train here the over day. Apparently he was "peer pressured" into playing chicken with the train by standing in front of it for as long as he could. I don't care how old you are or who convinced you to do what, but you have to be really fucking stupid to stand in front of a passenger train doing at least 130 km/h.
