the dell dj has excellent sound quality. its also the the most attractive non-ipod, in my opinion. BUT the firmware sucks balls. it just lists all the songs in alphabetical order when you view by artists. once they fix it (and they better) so that you can go artists -> albums -> tracks, i will highly recommend it. it costs about forty percent cheaper than a 20gb ipod, too. definitely something to consider.

Ive read that sound quality was better on the zen and rio but neither of those come with a remote... decisions decisions... i want to buy one of these things before the month is over. so now its between the karma, zen xtra and ihp-120...
It's plenty loud. I believe that rate is a bit low. It sounds louder and much more clear than the Karma, which one of my friends has. The Zen sounds better, but Nomad has the market cornered on that side of things.

The remote is the best one out, and it absolutely a dream to use. I would say the ihp 120 is underpriced at $340-ish.

Plus, the fact you need no additional software (like you need with the Karma and the Zen) is really useful, so you can plug it on any computer and get files off of or dump yours on to.

WHAT THE FUCK. I HATE EVERYTHING.
i have two computers, one with windowsME, the other Windows2000 Pro. My ipod works with both. When they try to tell you that the ipod only works with windows2000 or xp, what they really should be saying is that their Itunes program only works with windows2000/xp. I'm using musicmatch with the ipod plugin on my winme computer and itunes on the win2000 computer. Eh, but then again, its definitely worth it to upgrade your winme and Itunes is definietly a much better program than musicmatch to utilize your ipod.

People, you're all missing the important fact here.

He thought Windows ME was Windows 2000.

I got one too... but why is the battery life like only 3 hours until I have to charge it up again!?

Other than that, it is totally kickass.

They said 8 hour battery life... they must have meant when its fucking turned down to 0 volume level.

bad battery?
i get around 4-6 easy. 8 hours is possible if you turn off the backlight, turn off the equalizer, not mess with the fast forward-actually don't mess with the buttons much and just let it play.
