I've narrowed my hotel list down to two, and am not really sure which would be best. I'd like your suggestions.

The two are:

Victoria Park Plaza Hotel

They are having a special for $140 per night. They are very close to Victoria Station, and since we will be traveling around quite a bit, it's the most convinient. That, and the Gatwick Express runs straight to it from the airport.

Well, so long as you're close to a tube station you'll be able to get around pretty easily. I've never stayed in a hotel there though so I can't really compare the prices... .if Elisabeth were here she'd be able to help!

Uh, the first one looks much more well-equipped, more space in the rooms and not so much a place you just go to sleep. Are you sure they're about the same price?

The second one's probably a lot friendlier, you'll probably get to know the people on the desk more easily if you care about that sort of thing. They both look like they're in the same place though.

you're most likely only gonna sleep there anyway, what difference does it make?

i'd be looking at something less than $40/night, not $140

i stayed in London last year and paid £19, based on two people sharing the same room. (around $35)

it was a youth hostel run by russians...good banter there as well.

two mins walk from Bayswater station...pretty central
