The scouring of the Shire was always kind of lame. Very anti-climatic.

I'm looking forward to a 5+ hour version. I love LOTR, and the more, the better. I don't know exactly where another hour and 40 minutes would come from, but fuck, who cares. That would clock the whole trilogy at 12+ hours. That's so sexy. Winter 2004 - one day when I'm off from work, and the house is empty, I'm gonna curl up and watch the whole fucking thing. It'll rock like nothing has rocked before.
