I have always used the terms "Coke" or "Pepsi" for the cola products of those brands, and, I thought everyone else did, also. "Cola" is a generic term for any cola flavored soda pop. "Pop" is short for "soda-pop". Although it is the corect term for any flavor of carbonated beverage, it is somewhat antiquated, with the term "Pop" being most prevalent, followed by "soda." Calling any flavor of pop "Coke" is just plain stupid. At first I thought it somewhat surprising that Texans did such a stupid thing.
