Mac users, I have a burning question

I want to buy a digital voice recorder to record my interviews, cause I'm tired of the pile of cassettes that is ever building... I want it to be have USB capabilities that would actually work on a Mac.

All the ones I keep seeing at Radioshack and Future Shop apparently don't work with a Mac... I guess I could drag my laptop around from store to store trying them out but it's a huge hassle...

Anyone know of anything like this I could get? A minidisc player is pretty much out of the question, for the same reason as the tape player, I'm tired of the clutter of tapes and discs lying around.

The iPod actually has a voice-recording attachment.

I should also ******* the fact that I'm not going to spend more then $200 Canadian on it.

iPod is WAY out of my budget. Otherwise I would have bought it a long time ago.

A) I don't want an iPod. I have no use for it. I really don't need 10 gigs or 40 gigs of interviews to carry around with me. Besides, you have to buy attachments to get it to record all stuff, at least, that's what the manual said when I read it in the Mac store.

B) There is no way I'd buy electronics online, least of all through an auction. My neighbours steal my mail on a daily basis, this will never make it into my hands. There's no way to guarantee it'll get to me, and actually be in working order.

C) I'm looking for something small and discrete for when I'm conducting interviews, because something glaring white like that distracts interview subjects.
