Dude, you should have gotten a better attorney. Although, getting caught for a 2nd time driving on the revoked list (after a DUI) is pretty damn stupid.

there was nothing an attorney could do unless I didn't comit the above crimes. But they told me I could petition the state since I will graduate college next fall.

Oh I'm stupid? Well fuck you. It's not like ass raping a 10 year old or shooting someone with a fucking shotgun. There are no such things as designated drivers and when you have to go home from a bar after a couple beers, you're DUI according to the letter of the law. It's very easy to be violently in favor of treating DUI violaters like child molesters if you've never been in those situations.

Besides, peabitch doesn't know the partiuclars of this person's case in the first place. Secondly, he's a dick. And a rich one, too.

Sorry. I was directing my "god damn you are stupid" comment toward the thread starter, not you.

But while we're at it.

People have been made well aware of the consequences of their actions. They know that their driving ability will be impaired if they drink. I highly doubt there are many people who do not know this, considering the inforamtion is shoved down their throat in driving school. I think it's perfectly fair to punish someone severely for consciously deciding to do something that will vastly increase the endangerment of the lives of innocent people. It's easy to abstain from drinking. It's easy to find a designated driver. If you're too fucking stupid and lazy to do either of these things, then you should be removed from society for a very long time.

Um. DON'T go to the bar with your car. Have a designated driver or WALK there. DON'T drink a beer and get in a car. It's that easy. If you're going to drink, go out to the supermarket or the liquor store and buy whatever and take it home and drink it there. It'd be cheapter. Or go to someone's house and drink. And then wait a few hours to drive OR WALK. If you can't do that, then... you know. Whatever. Go get in a car crash or get caught by pigs. It'd be your own stupid fault. Just. Ugh. God, you must have drove pretty badly. So the last thing they caught you for was driving on a revoked license? Also. The alcohol must have been affecting your driving if you were caught... unless you're just a crazy/bad driver in general.

it's blood alcohol level. i'm not a scientist but people react differently to different amounts of alcohol, and i guess that's what bac is for. if it's .08 or .10 or whatever the particular law is, then you ARE impaired. that's what it means. they're not counting hte number of beers you've had just the effect however much alcohol is having on your ability to function.
