well i don't think that's necessarily the context you have to give it. i don't know. you know what i'm saying? i don't think you can remove some sort of divinity from the equation and still allow it to retain its meaning, because . i don't know. isn't the 'for they will inherit the earth' just as important as 'blessed are the meek' ? you know what i mean? actulaly that's why that's probably my least favourite line. i much prefer "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." or really any of the other ones, because i don't think divine reward is specifically in one context in most of them.

If I'm not mistaken, he's agnostic because he thinks placing faith in the certainty that God doesn't exist is as stupid as placing faith in the certainty that he does.

anyways yeah i generally dislike christianity a lot just for that one main stress on 'reward' or whatever, but i don't think. i don't think that has to be the context. that's all. i don't think you can remove something from its 'context' because i think in something like that 'context' is just a silly term to use. you can give it whatever context you want to give it. i don't think there really is a necessary specific context that you can remove it from. i guess. it's just tear-worthy or whatever. and i fucking wish we wouldn't have to sit around an analyze something like that. and i'm reallyh pissed off that it's been. ugh. i'm just pissed off now. not at ryan patrick mostly at someone else. who looks at the world through a microscope. but i give up now. it's my own private emotional journey or what have you.

i could've sworn he was an atheist but now i know he's not and now that i know he's an agnostic it seems even sillier that he sees a context from which it has to be removed. nevermind. just stop replying okay? this thread isn't fucking about god or the bible. jesus christ. it's about blessed are the merciful for they will receive mercy. hell.
