also get spybot search and destroy, Alot of people run both programs since one willl catch stuff the other misses.

I use AdAware. But I just dl'ed Spybot SAD and used it.

Is there any real harm or problem in deleting something in red that has to do w/ a Registry Change? Entitled "DSO Exploit"?

I read the tutorial and all. I just want to make sure before I do anything.

Spyware puts things in the registry too - Spybot backs everything up, so if there's a problem later you can just restore it. But if it's in red there's a very good chance it needs removing

get hijack this, CWS shredder, and spybot S & D

Run spybot S & D, and CWS shredder,

reboot

run hijack this, take a log of that, and go to the spywareinfo.com forums, post your hijack this log, and wait for people to help you out :-)

Before changing ANYTHING in hijack this, run the log and post in the spywareinfo forums.
