maybe you're an exception because you seem pretty mature. however, i think age differences don't really mean as much once you get out of college. there's a big difference in lifestyles between a 19 year old and a 27 year old. you figure alot out in those few years. yeah there is a 8 year difference between chris and i. we started dating when i was 22 and he just turned 30. it helps that i'm more mature than he is.

Maybe I'll just be contradicting myself in saying this because it sounds so childish, but... I'm almost 20!

I understand what you mean with the "lifestyles" thing, though. But, we both go to the same college (even though I'm working on my first degree and he's working on his second), we both have jobs, except I live with my parents and he doesn't. Obviously, he is a lot more experienced and has done a lot more living than I have. But now he is in his "I need to grow up, I'm going to be an art teacher" thing. Which is really admirable. He's done his fair share of partying and his fair share of drugs, sure, but he's done with that now.. That's one thing I love about him being older, he can show and teach me so much that I would have no clue about otherwise. The things that I'm experiencing in my life and the things that are new to me, he's been there and back and he can help me.
