so...my toilet is backed up..

the water is really high, it's won't flush, I think someone tried to flush a tampon. there's tons of toilet paper that came up. what do I do? I have to go really bad.

my other roommate usually fixes this stuff. but she JUST left. fuck. I think I'll wait for the water to go down and try a plunger.

don't wait for the water to go down. put the plunger in so that the toilet hole is completely covered andn start pushing it down and pulling it up. if you are doing it right you should start to hear a shallow gurgling sound. after enough pumps, the water will have gone down (that's what the gurgling is... ) once the water has gone down at least almost all the way, flush the toilet. if the water fills back up again, and looks like it's still clogged, then repeat all the above steps until it clears.
there is also a handle, usually located on the left hand bottom side of the toilet, connected to the pipes that run from the bottom of the toilet into the wall. if you think the toilet won't stop over flowing, you can turn the handle and it will c lose off the pipes so that you don't get water damage.

i have never clogged a toilet in my life. but i sure as hell know how to unclog them because boys always come over and try to ruin my life.
