Has anyone here ever sent an invention to invent tech?

My dad invented something for the medical field to help operate on cancer patients and the people at that company are saying they have never seen anything like it. The company is ready to build a prototype as we speak. Anyone had that happen before?(or know anybody that has) I don't know whether to be freaking out about this lol.

this guy i'm going on a date with on sunday invented it and patented it, or so he says.

and is doing the same thing for USPS..

i don't know. he was talking about it, but i wasn't really listening. hah.

You know the Automated Teller Machine? I blew the guy that invented that for $50.
