I've been intending to make one of these for a long time but have been trying to work out the details. Here goes...

As for rounding: If you're 5.25 inches for example, you can round up to 5.5.

Here is a guide on measuring.

If you want to measure your penis, to see how it compares, you need to get it erect, in whatever way seems appropriate, and then lie the ruler along the top of your penis, pressing gently into your pubic mound. Measure along the length to the tip. This methods works for men with straight penises; if yours is of the curvy variety, then I guess you have to use a piece of string.
