I dont know about anyone else but do people seem to date anymore or just go out with each other.

I guess it all depends on intention.

date = definite sexual interest, definite romantic interest, both parties know what's what

go out with each other = mixed territory...could just be a guy thinking a girl is hot but not sure about much else and doesn't want to risk rejection so goes for the very casual "we should hang out sometime" and the girl doesn't quite know what his intentions are

Hmmm...it's almost 7am and I haven't been to sleep yet...I'm not making much sense.

How about this... If you aren't "just friends", there is no difference between a date and going out with each other.
