I wanna go see Tool on the 12th but...

...it's a school day, and my parents probably wouldn't like the idea of me skipping school to go to a concert. But I think I might be able to convince them, does anyone have any advice on convincing them?

Are you old enough to where you can go without telling them?

If you're in high school or something like that though, I can understand how they wouldn't want you to go if you had to skip school.

I'm 13, but I've been to concerts before, and I always go with my older bro, who is 19. And like all the other ones, I would go with him again.

Hm.

My parents are always reluctant to let me do anything...so getting to go to concerts is always quite a problem for me.

I usually just begin begging as soon as a tour is announced...then the begging becomes more...urgent? or something, when an on-sale date of the show here is announced.

But...I guess you already have tickets or something...

Just tell them that concerts are as safe as pretty much anything else you could do. And if you can get your brother to take you, have him talk to your parents and try and convince them.

And why would you have to skip school?

Well, I'm dumb and I overlooked the fact that the concert starts at 7:30 PM.

I already have convinced my parents to allow me to go to concerts, and I've been to a few before, so that's not a problem. My bro doesn't wanna drive from Austin to San Antonio, because he's lazy, so I'll have to convince my dad to drive both of us there, so he'll have to get off work early, but that shouldn't be much of a problem. I think my parents will probably let me go as long as I handle paying for the tickets. I have $25, and I can probably get 10 pretty soon, and my bro still has alot of money left over from his birthday.

So the outcome of this thread:
I'm really stupid and overlooked important details.
