New York is not going to be hosting the Olympics you old man lover. NY is just the U.S. nomination, but they're not going to win because the U.S. just hosted the summer olympics 6 years ago.

I don't why people think the U.S. needs to host the Olympics every 15 years or so when there's like 200 countries in the world. The U.S. isn't God or anything, it's just one country.

I can't tell what Julie's saying because I have her on ignore but NYC was only rewarded candidate-ship and not the actual Olympics. The U.S., and especially NYC, do not need the Olympics.

It will not be decided for another 3 years.

Anyhow, NY and the Olympics so soon? Seems odd.. I mean, security? Also, we held the '96 ones, and the Winter ones this year, why the heck another? Why not Sweden? I'd like to see another country with it.

Atlanta convinced me that America can no longer host an Olympics without it turning into a living hell. I'm not criticizing Atlanta itself, but more like the way that everything from the corporations down to the $7 water peddlers just totally gave it this air of shit.

On the other hand, if NYC gets it (I highly doubt it), at least none of the above will appear any bit out of the norm.
