But, you must remember, we had little D last year. This year, it's actually probably better. And although it was horrible, it was still middle-of-the-league bad.
Last Year:
Lakers: start off season unhealthy, never quite get things going...yet still capable of owning Dallas (3 of 4). sorta kinda improved for this season.
Sacramento: Was better than you, loses MVP, loses to you in 7 games. Picks up quality big man (Miller).
San Antonio: Won title. Is still better than you.
Minnesota: Could be in the top 3 if things mesh, could drop out if things don't. KG + Kandi give them Duncan+Robinson-type threat (the one that beat Dallas last year).
Dallas: Trades away one of the MVP's from their playoff run (Van Exel), trades away big man (LaFrentz). Brings in two scorers to play the same position and split time.

good luck.

Every season, the T-Wolves give that statement. It never amounts to anything.

The Spurs are the best team in the league ... again ... and even better than last year.

Van Exel did not add too much in the regular season, that's what I'm talking about. The Mavs can score 105+ in the regular season and run through any team. It's in the playoffs when you play a 6-man style that it catches up with them. Hence, they won't get to the title game, but probably be the No. 1 or at least 2 seed.

Chris Kaman is a tall white boy, and American. He will do nothing.
but last years squad, talent-wise, was MUCH better than their 27 wins showed. they were a HORRIBLY coached, selfish basketball team trying to up their own value since half the team were in contract years.

this year their two stars are locked in, their younger players have room to step up, and they have a friggin' couch. mind you, i don't exactly like Dunleavy all that much...but if you'd watched any of the Clippers games over the past few years you'd have realized Gentry was awful on the bench. They lost countless games in the final minutes after leading by 8, 15, even 20 points through most of the game. this should improve.

they'll be in the 40-something win range, write it down.

give what statement?

"we've got wally, look out?"
"we've got joe smith, look out?"
"we've added anthony peeler, ya'll betta recognize!"

they brought in legit guys (aside from Kandi, we'll see about him) who -will- make an impact. there is no hype, it's all down to whether or not they gel as a team.

btw, how long until Jamison can no longer deal with being a 6th man?

Van Exel was happy with it. Jameson's just a young Van Exel.
