there is nothing like driving. turning up the radio loud. the windows rolled down all the way. a parliment light burning.
the best part is that it gives you so much time to think.
it's my personal cure for depression.
take a nice long drive.
i want to drive for a living. sometimes i think about becoming a trucker.
so what am i going to school for?

i was in an accident once because i wasn't paying attention- and also because the shocks on my car were all fucked up. so i was on the freeway going 85, i jerked the wheel a little bit, my rack and pinion gave out, and i lost control of the car. i ended up swerving in and out of three lanes of traffic before i finally hit the center divider and came to a stop.
it was fun

Exactly my feelings on driving, also.

Everyone thinks I'm nuts for going to Detroit all the time for no reason, really. All I need is for someone to say "hey let's hang out" and as long as I have money for gas and a place to stay, I'm there. I do it more for myself because I love driving. The 5 hour drive to Det is awesome for me.

Like you said, it gives you time to think. Driving is my meditation.

exactly! sometimes i go to see my friends who live really far away. i'll end up driving for like two hours. then once i get there, i hang out for an hour, and then i want to leave again so that i can get back on the road. it's so silly.
for thanksgiving i get to take a five hour road trip to go up and see my mom and her new house. i am so excited about the drive.
