Oh, and before you start again, I realize my error. When you said observant, I thought observant in the scientific sense: i.e.: observing a curiosity, which in this case, would be a religion. You meant observant in the 'observing traditions' sense.

Meh. No sense arguing. I'll just take the easy way out by taking your word for it.

I could have sworn that they let divorced people get married in the catholic church, even if it wasn't an annulment or whatever. Man I have got to go and just sit down with a priest some day and be like, "okay, here's a list of questions. you have 20 minutes to answer. go".

Both my parents were raised catholic...but I think my Dad's family was more strict than my mom's. My paternal grandmother still goes to church every Sunday and has little "prayers of the day" things around her house and stuff. My maternal grandparents were non-practicing Catholics (ie went to church on Christmas and Easter, and that's about it) ever since I can remember and now that my grandma's gone my grandpa doesn't go at all. Oddly enough the roles are kind of reversed in my parents...I know my Dad has a strong sense of faith but he has a tendency to kind of doze off in church you know, heh. We always went to mass every Sunday, but my mom really got into church and stuff after her mother died. She pushes it more on me now but I'm not living at home so there's not much she can do. I still go to church and pray and try to be the best person I can, but I do disagree with some church beliefs, I don't read the Bible (even though I want to), and the way my mom tries to guide me towards her sense of a deeper faith is a big turn off for me. She told me the other day, "God is your best friend, you know honey". I just can't stomach that kind of thing. Crud I totally forgot what this was about. I'm sorry. And did you think of your sig or is that a quote? I really like it. It's kind of scary.
