MSNBC reports that Jay R. Smith, a cast member in the LITTLE RASCALS films, was found stabbed to death October 5 north of Las Vegas.

Smith, 87, was a member of the child comedy troupe in the silent era, appearing in three dozen films between 1924 and 1929. His roles are reported to have been largely small.

that's one of my favorite moe scenes. I love it when he just starts cracking Alfalfas head against the rocks. "YOU STOLE MY BIT!!!" "oh my god! He's killed the original Alfalfa!"

supposedly there's actually a rumour kicking around that one of the Little Rascals died & was replaced while the show was on the air. Maybe there's a serial killer stalking the cast of Little Rascals, kinda like in "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer". now THAT would be cool!
