i watched Battle Royale today

totally awesome. that's the movie i've been looking for my whole life. campy, with a large air of irony, but not shot badly at all. it was kind of like a real life video game. one of a kind. i would definitely show it to my friends, if i had anyone to show. i can't say enough good things about it.

oh and if anyone has seen the Flaming Lips recently, it turns out the video clips they played during the song "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt. 1" were from this movie! at least, they used clips from it at the Unlimited Sunshine show i saw.

I'll have the DVD soon thanks to Julie. I'm sure it's PAL format but hey, my DVD player converts so it should work fine. It also reads all regions thanks to a hack.

You should just be able to rent that. Make sure you get the unrated version though. I found a used copy at Blockbuster but it was the R rated version and all the good parts are left out.

i'm going to bump this yet again to say Audition was really good. for the second half, i was mostly like, what the fuck is going on? but then i thought about it and read some comments, and i decided it was really pretty good.

i'm running out of movies though! dammit. what do i watch next!
