Red face my CPU benchmarks at 3.13ghz

not that numbers mean anything...but damn.

I bet you can't even tell the difference between that and a 2ghz machine w/the same specs for everything else

my processor is 1.4ghz though.

What program did you benchmark it with? Were you doing -ANYTHING- else while it was running (or did you have any other programs open)?

You should get SiSoft Sandra to benchmark your stuff...

madonion's pcmark 2002, i had AIM, MSN Messenger, and windows media player running while it did it.

http://www.overclockercafe.com/Reviews/Zalman/ that's my heatsink and it keeps everything at a lovely temperature.

These benchmark things can screw your computer forever, if you don't know how to tweak it straight. So if you don't have any experience on it, leave it alone.

uhm.. those zalman heatsinks are nice. i've got an alpha pal8045 on here.. best you can buy..

the heatsink has nothing to do with your clock speed. there's no way you could overclock a 1.4ghz processor to 3.13 ghz easily without at least water cooling (even then that's a stretch).
