my dad had this theory about all the sites of the shootings---that they're all civil war battle grounds, etc. and The Ponderosa...that had something to do with it. |

Well if this sniper left a phone number for the police so they know that when he calls he is the real guy wouldn't it be stupid to use a pay phone number where the cops could stake out the booth and just wait for him to come and arrest him? If the sniper left a phone number it should have been like a cell phone which would be harder to track/trace down.

That's because the media if feeding off rumors, each network wants to be the first to break the news first, they don't seem to be too concerned about getting it right first but rather getting it out first so they can take credit if it turns out right.
