Talking

depends on how active you are, really. 3500 is a lot though.

according to http://inch-aweigh.com/dcn.php, to keep at my current weight (185lbs @ 6'0"):

You need 4219 calories during a typical day to maintain your current weight.

40 to 50 percent of them should come from carbohydrates.
20 to 30 percent of them should come from fat.
20 to 30 percent of them should come from protein.

yeah...i tried messing round with the link too

i only ask about my calorie intake cos i heard somewhere that the 'average' male should have 2500 kcals/day in order to stay healthy. considering that i'm quite a bit above average height i was working at around the 3000 kcals/day mark. truth is tho, this plain doesn't fill me up anymore. on top of that i'm actively trying to put on a little bit of weight so, what, 4000 a day?

i said i was 'moderately active' and the system recommended 3087/ day. i didn't know what to pick actually cos i walk 45 mins to and from work each day but apart from that do no exercise

if i'd have selected 'extremely active' i'd be up to 4116/ day. that's a pretty big discrepancy between the two...yet it's entirely subjective as to 'how much' i exercise.

whatever. maybe i should just keep stuffing my face?
