And it sounds like your parents are willing to pay for it, right? Wow. I'm going to pay off student loans until I'm 60. Parents willing to pay for med school is a huge deal. However, on the other hand, you don't seem very enthusiastic about med school. Is there another area that you would prefer to study? Would your parents still be willing to pay for it if you don't go to med school? You could always put off school and work for awhile. (However, the longer people put off school, the less likely it becomes that they will go back.)

Initially, my dream was to become a succesful musician. But I know it rarely happens in the real life. So going to College has never been my goal. I'm not really interested in becoming a doctor. All I know is that it could pay the bill..ironically speaking. The turnoff is that they're willing to pay for everything and that is just too weird for me, I have the pressure and I don't know if I'm up to the task. Oh, needless to say, I highly respect you for your financial independence. |

There are college students out there who would give anything to trade places with you right now. There is nothing weird about your parents be willing to pay for everything. From my perspective, that is an amazing gift there are offering you. And just for clarification, do you already have your bachelor's degree and would going to Brown for med school or would you be going to Brown to major in pre-med? If you don't already have a bachelor's degree, I would say that you definitely need to get one. |
