Concerning partitions of countries and states

I am a firm believer that to partition a country, to promote succession and division by culture, race, language, etc, causes far more problems than it solves.

I refuse to back it up tonight. I just thought I'd start it.

as for secession i'd have to suspect it should really be a case-by-case basis.

huge strife occurs with secessions when all divisions within society reinforce each other. ie when the people speak the same language also have hte same religion and are of the same social class and are of the same region of the country. this is generally when a region tries to secede. is this good or bad? i don't fucking know. maybe they should be allowed to secede if they feel they're being repressed or their national government isn't representing their wants. however if there's a large population within this region that is AGAINST secession (ie like in northern ireland) it becomes much more complicated. SHOULD secession always occur or always not occur? i doubt it. it probably depends on the individual situation.

America should do that. Split people up into three parts: Republicans, Democrats and Others.

That way the Rep and Dem sections will be to loyal to change anything, and the other section will rawk out with all the cooL kids like ourselves there not caring.
