I think he's a delivery man. Think about it, he would have access to different trucks and also know back roads throughout the DC/Virginia area. I think planning shootings near major roads is a decoy, because the cops promptly close off those major roads allowing him to get away on back roads without a problem.

Your welcome. I thought the summary may help you guys visualize what was actually being said, and organize it in a useful manner.

I am well-read on serial killers so all I can really offer is analysis of his place among other serial killers. He's about 20 kills away from impressing me. That's not mean in gest. I'm serious.

The Green River Killer (Gary Ridgeway), Ted Bundy, and the Red Scare (some Russian Dude) really set the bar for serial killers fairly high with appx. 49, 30, and 55 respectively. The Red Scare is especially impressive because he killed, fucked, and ate little children during Cold War Russia.

What the serial sniper does bring to the table as a serial killer is novelty. Much like Jeffery Dahmer, Ed Guine, Zodiac Killer, John Wayne Gacy, and Berkowitz. None of their numbers were astounding (appx. 17, 5, 25, 18, and 7 repsectively), but we're talking about some seriously sick and/or creative shit.

My personal favorite is Ed Guine because he was the most creative in that he not only killed, fucked, dismemeber, and ate his victims. He also WORE human flesh. Nipple belts.

The serial sniper wins some points for creativity, but he ain't the first serial sniper. That dude in Ohio killed five people in the woods and initially people thought they were hunting accidents.

The Zodiac Killer hated people (never solved who he was but this was clear) and so he killed couples at first and just taunted people through the media. Anti-society of course.

This guy is obviously a serial killer. He's killed multiple people, mostly likely because they've presented a perfect target at the time he got himself in position, and considering the random choice of targets and the fact that he's never actually at the scene, the only way he's getting caught is if he makes a mistake. I'm actually surprised nobody's heard the shot yet - I don't know enough about guns to say whether there's a silenced rifle that uses that 223 ammunition. I'll say it again - there's no reason for just anyone to have the right to own a long-range weapon, and it's ridiculous that their ownership isn't strictly monitored.
