In all seriousness if the election were held today Trump would lose by at least 5% due to the all important white suburban voters.

There's no chance in hell turnout is going to be as low as it was in 2016. That was uniquely a Hillary Clinton thing combined with disenfranchised Bernie Sanders folks and the presumption that Trump was just a joke candidate without a real shot at winning. That's not going to happen again.

Trump's base has not grown, unless the evangelicals were doing an extra lot of fucking in 2002 for some reason, and I have no reason to believe that is the case.

The only way he can win is voter suppression - crony judges purging registration and provisional ballots, crony postmaster general fucking with the mail, militia thugs intimidating people, Russian interference (we know for a fact that hackers accessed voting machines in at least 3 states but ostensibly didn't change anything)

again, the thing where you make false claims over and over after being corrected. Biden's plan is more popular than universal healthcare.

What’s more popular amongst the left? I don’t care about what’s more popular amongst Republicans and Neoliberals. If Biden wants to win he needs the left. You know this or you wouldn’t be harassing me to vote for him. The latest polls look pretty bad for Biden, he needs to back something progressive if he wants to win. Of course I don’t think he or the Democratic establishment care overly much if they win seeing as they already accomplished their main goal (stopping Bernie). Additionally, Trump being President enables them to market themselves as the “resistance” and blame Trump for all of America’s systemic problems. I believe there was a massive increase in their fundraising post-Trump. The Democrats are by and large controlled opposition.

Was watching Secular Talk and apparently 88% of Democrats support M4A, 68% of independents support it and even 46% of Republicans support it. There is no excuse for Biden not to adopt it as part of his platform if you truly believe this is a representative democracy.

I feel like "political squabble" is as generous a description of this as "retired food" would be for a unit of human excrement.

No one cares about convincing you squish squash. You are a low information voter who comes to conclusions and then seeks out evidence for them. You aren’t important, just foolish and obnoxious and pretty disingenuous/prone to repeating things you know are false.

The plan Biden endorses is more popular than universal healthcare among Dems, independents, and Repubs. Therefore your assertion that he should espouse a plan that is less widely supported and this would help his chances of winning is beyond asinine.

What that redbreegull article looks like:
Quote:
Last week, I noted that Bernie Sanders is winning over Democratic primary voters on health care. Whether you love, hate or are indifferent toward his “Medicare for All” plan, polls show Sanders leading when Democratic voters are asked which candidate they think is best able handle to health care.

The thing is, though — according to new polling from Marist College this week — Sanders’s plan isn’t actually the most popular idea in the field. Instead, that distinction belongs to what Marist calls “Medicare for all that want it,” or what’s sometimes called a public option — something very similar to Joe Biden’s recently unveiled health care plan, which claims to give almost everyone “the choice to purchase a public health insurance option like Medicare.”

In the Marist poll, 90 percent of Democrats thought a plan that provided for a public option was a good idea, as compared to 64 percent who supported a Sanders-style Medicare for All plan that would replace private health insurance. The popularity of the public option also carries over to independent voters: 70 percent support it, as compared to 39 percent for Medicare for All.

1. It is slightly more popular amongst Democratic voters according to that (90% to 88%), but you know full well what is more popular with progressives, which is the voting block Biden needs to win. I’m not sure why people who are already committed to voting for Biden matter here, we are discussing what he needs to do to win. Progressives do not want private insurance to stay around in any form.
2. Hard to trust a proven liar like Biden that he will get a public option done. Especially when you read stuff like this:

“ Within twenty-four hours of the launch of the industry’s new ads, however, anonymous Democratic congressional sources were telling the Hill that Democrats likely won’t bother with the public option fight next year if Biden wins the election. Instead, they said, the party will work to tweak its 2010 health care law, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which has done little to limit insurance or hospital costs and has failed to ensure universal coverage.

To justify the preemptive retreat, Democratic congressional aides told the newspaper that the party’s moderate crop of 2020 Senate challenger candidates could make it harder to pass a public option. That assertion comes even though every single one of those candidates is currently campaigning in support of a public option, according to a TMI review of campaign statements.”

Biden doesn’t need progressives to win. Another false statement you’ve already been fact checked on. Biden needs centrists to win. You are a small minority, do not hold the keys to the kingdom, etc etc.

Have you been reading the polls lately?

If he doesn’t need me to win, why do you care how I vote?

You heard RBG guys. I don’t have to vote for Biden because he doesn’t need my vote, so no more vote shaming, since Biden is obviously going to win and doesn’t need progressive votes to do so.
