Outkast's new double album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below will be released September 9. The first disc will be all Big Boi; the second all Dre 3000. They'll appear on each other's discs, but for the most part it's as if it were two solo albums in one. They will simultaneously release a single from each album: BB's is "Groove Musick"; Dre's is "She Lives in my Lap." I haven't heard the first one, but here's a link to the second one:
http://www.musicresearch.com/survey_...vesinmylap.ram It's, uh, very Prince-like. I dunno. Double albums are always disconcerting. It's a minus that this one won't be conceptually cohesive, and the single isn't very reassuring. But it's just a single, after all. |
