On the podcast he said that him and Jimmy thought that having more technically proficient guitarists would make for a better band with Zwan, and then he says that it didn't. Well that applies to Jeff too 100%

It did potentially make for a better band. But Bill was more interested in making a big, dumb, vain pop record.

He was all over the fucking place once Paz joined the band. Matt and Dave had checked out by the time the album promo started.

Weise Entscheidung! Wär interessant, derzeit so ne blinde Stichprobe zu machen, was haben Besucher vom Görli so alles an übertragbaren Erkrankungen, fraglich, ob Corona das Rennen gewinnen würde!

(Now I'm done Germaning, sorry Netphoria, I know it's rude, I miss Berlin, that's my excuse.)

He had such a great thing going with the 2001 shows but he threw it all away to try to replicate the Pumpkins aesthetically, while ironically saying he picked songs that didn’t sound like the Pumpkins. Fucking clown.

I never bothered looking very deeply into Zwan. All I know is that I listened to MSotS, like, once in my life, and maybe liked one song. Everything else sounded like Christian rock.

But I checked out those Hideout compilations on thepumpkins.net and loved those. I don't know enough about the band's history to know their context or what those tracks are from. I guess their live shows from before they recorded a studio album?

Seriously, how do you get a guy from The Smashing Pumpkins and a guy from Slint in the same room and end up with such a boring record?

That Chrysanthemum performance is hype. They should have stayed a 4 piece, no Paz, and not replaced all the good songs with weaker ones on the album. Zwan had so much potential and Billy fucked it up so bad.

I still like ZWAN for what it was. The album is a good listen. He did fuck it up though...another example of him falling out w an entire group of people but it had nothing to do with him.

Why no updates on Grave Next Door? Wretzky's ex-boyfriend didn't die of the Covid, did he?

Red face

I went back through his Twitter account and he doesn't say anything about it or complain about the stay at home order in general, but he did celebrate Dave Brubeck Day?! I can't believe a Dave Brubeck fan would show up to an armed protest. But he's in law enforcement and he loves guns. But he loves Dave Brubeck. Guns, Brubeck, guns, Brubeck…
