I look back with compassion and also shame. I think it's the only way to move forward in any meaningful way. Doesn't mean you need to continually punish yourself for things that you've done in the past though.

free ice cream from jeni's would be killer, though. a pint at the store is 11.99 at pete's and 8.99 (USD) at whole foods. found a new brand at target that's pretty good called museum of ice cream (or something like such as) and has unique yet classic flavors.

Yeah that sounds like a good balance. I need to figure out how to manage something similar. I'm actually feeling very good otherwise, if not a touch suspicious of myself. i am somewhat compassionate towards myself, however there is one shitty thing i did that i fucking hate myself for and i dont know if i ever wont. i think about it most days, and at least once a week it gives me a mini panic attack before bed.

My past actions are challenging for me to come to terms with, as well. And that's just what I can remember =/

I've done my best at starting over, but that won't really right any of my wrongs. It's hard not to hate yourself sometimes, but I can admit that my past self was a selfish and unreliable person and still maintain pride in the actions of my current self. Changing is a big deal.

i heard some gossip last week about a family where the wife/mother doesn't work and has a housekeeper come twice a week

the housekeeper has had to clean up used menstruation management products from the floor because that's where they were left after the daughter was finished with them

I wonder if when she is our age, the daughter will feel pretty bad about that

when i was cleaning my dad's student's rooms in jerusalem, there was a student who would leave turds in the toilet for me every time her room was scheduled to be cleaned.

at the time i was butthurt but now its pretty lol wtf??
